Ok so the starting point.
I've often wondered at which point does a person look at their body and think "ugh thats it I HAVE to do something about my weight." How much extra weight does it take? 20kgs? 30kgs? 50kgs? Does it take a second roll of fat to develop before they do something or will it only take one? Will it take them becoming breathless after 10 metres or perhaps only 5 metres before they do something? Will it take a high blood pressure reading or maybe a heartattack?
For me, it's taken constant unhappiness for too many years, high blood pressure, not wanting to even look at myself and feeling sorry for my husband having to look at me, for me to decide, it's time to throw my hefty body into exercise gear and pound the treadmill til I can't take it anymore.
I've reached that point where, I know I can't continue as I have in the past.
I'm fat.
There, that wasn't so hard LOL. I've been fat for awhile and I've been kidding myself that it's fine, well it's not. It's time to do something about it.
I went treadmill hunting and now have a nice BIG black thing sitting in my front lounge. It's top of the range and it's top speed is some ridiculous number that I'd never contemplate trying to do. My aim is 20 minutes a day at around 5kph on incline 3 for about a fortnight just to get my body used to doing exercise.
By my 31st birthday, I WILL be what I used to be, the woman my DH fell in love with.....quite a few kilo's lighter, quite a few dress sizes smaller and alot happier!
